Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I am loving my new planner pages with all the room for prayer intentions! Just saying, you’ve got a prayer intention, let me me know and I’ll write it down so I won’t forget to pray for you. And yes, ahem, I have forgotten. Sorry.
Pondering…
I’m pondering how sometimes our prayers just “feel good.” Like, we in a good prayer groove. And other times, well, there is no feeling or even feelings of distaste for prayer and meditation. I’m pondering how sometimes life just “feels good.” And other times, well, I’m just not feeling life. Nothing deep, dark and depressive, just a season of life.
Listening to…
Reading…
My large print Bible
Elizabeth asked the other day on Facebook for book recommendations for her first book of the year to be read. Wow! I never considered it in those terms, “First book to be read in the new year.” It made me think of reading to set the tone for the year. So I started browsing my shelves, wondering what I wanted my “First Book” of 2016 to be. Here is my first official read of the new year. I renew my Total Consecration on February 11 so it’s a perfect choice.
Bible Journaling…
I am making time for this. The reading is taking place, it’s the creating that keeps getting pushed aside. I’ll probably involve the kids, they will help keep me accountable if I say something like, “Every Friday morning we are going to practice our Bible Journaling.”
Around the House…
I would love to be one of those people who can leave their tree up until February 2nd but I struggle to leave it up until after the Epiphany. I just feel like a tree in the middle of the living room in house that holds nine is pushing it.
In the Kitchen…
I have not followed Trim Healthy Mama at all. I am totally paying for it. I knew I felt yucky. I knew my blood sugar was wonky because I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling funny The last couple of days I’ve checked my blood sugar and it’s been off. I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy. Diabetes runs on both sides of my family. I do not want to be a diabetic. So, it’s for real this time. I’ve consistently eaten in a way that is good for my body, THM, and my blood sugars are already starting to come back down.
Our Domestic Church…
Tomorrow our parish is having their annual Epiphany Water Blessing ceremony so I need to take some water to be blessed. Then the next day is a High Mass for the Feast of the Epiphanyand I’ve already contacted our priests about having our Epiphany Blessing for our home.
Saving Money…
::Veronica has started making and selling rosaries and single decade rosaries to help offset the cost of her soccer
::Chris has worked some overtime, the other night he worked 22 hours!
::We are literally a few months away from paying off our house!
::I still need to trim and trim our grocery budget
Captured…
I’m taking a picture a day for 365 days with my “Big Girl Camera.” This is a leap year so it’s a 366 Day Project. I post it every night here at The Littlest Way around 7pm.

Oh, I don’t know that I’ve heard of this one. Thanks for the heads up.

After a rocky “in the name of celebration” eating style, and with my blood sugar and hormones gone haywire, I made the prayerful decision to purchase a 3-month THM membership and I’m so glad that I did. I haven’t had much success with meal planning/planners in the past, but this site couldn’t be easier and more inspiring. I’m already saving money by not shopping in my head at the store.
Jenny says
Oh, so good to know. I cannot afford it right now, but maybe sometime in the future.

I enjoy your website and your pictures!
Are you using a Photo-a-day plan or just taking photos that stike your fancy?
Jenny says
Thank you Joan. For right now whatever strikes my fancy. As the year progresses I may use prompts.
