Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
Y’all, we had a disturbing incident at soccer State Cup last weekend–a violent incident. Ever since my surgery I’ve at least tried to get a Daybook post up each week, but last week after State Cup my peace was rocked and I spent all of it trying to process and discern the best decision. A couple of days after this happened, I woke up with the impression to pray for the offender. Not big, serious prayers, for example, one day it was, “Please allow one thing to happen today that brings this person in closer friendship with You.” Anther day it was, “Please let one thing, an absolutely, undeniably “God Thing” to happen to this person today.” As a friend said, “Well, if you have that impression to pray for that person after that incident, it’s obviously from God.” And then kind of jokingly, “But that kind of sucks for you.” As I’ve prayed for my children, I’ve felt called to include this kid and honestly, I’m not really into this idea of praying for this person; I don’t feel I pray enough or do a good enough job for my own kids right now and now I feel God has added this one. But, God doesn’t really care if I’m in to praying for this kid, He just wants me to follow His inspirations.
I absolutely do not share this to brag or show anything good about myself–I even shared honestly how I’m not really in to this idea right now. I share this to illustrate to myself most importantly–God’s ways are not my ways,
Pondering…
“The experience of weakness leads us to stop judging others, treating them with gentleness, humility, and understanding instead.”

Listening to…
The dryer, ceiling fan, and youngest boys visiting with Chris. I have found a “new to me” channel on Youtube, Emily Wilson. I’ve binge watched her videos lately and annoyed Bernadette in the process I’m sure; I keep sending her links to the various videos. Musically, I mentioned I’ve been processing hard things so I’ve retreated to my safe place listening to Joey+Rory Hymns.

Bible Journaling…
I’ve been writing, reading, studying and praying through Philippians the last 20+ days. Over the weekend I shared a free printable Philippians writing plan to email subscribers. This resource will be included in the “Resource Library” later today. If you’re not an email subscriber, you’re missing out–this is the first of, please God, many. So click here to subscribe.
Around the House…
We need a new washing machine. The one we are using right now is maybe 20 years old? We borrowed it when our front loader finally broke–I would never pray for an appliance to break, but I HATED that machine. The one we’re using now is starting to squeak and it sometimes gets stuck on filling the tub, although the tub doesn’t fill. It might get stuck for an hour or more before we realize it–hello high water and electric bill! When we had our front loader we were on a first name basis with the repair man. He told us when we had to buy a new washing machine to buy a Fisher and Paykel or a Speed Queen. So off we go!
In the Kitchen…
June 16th my sister and I are recommitting to Trim Healthy Mama. We both feel so.much.better when we closely follow the plan–no cheats.
Diffusing
The more oils I use from Edens Garden, the more I LOVE them. The more I research Edens Garden, the more I LOVE them. Quality oils at a price this stay at home momma of a large family can actually afford. I was ordering them from Amazon, but have found ordering from their website directly is less expensive plus free shipping. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon instead of a distributor.)
A Great Blog Post
I have been sharing articles I have found interesting or thought provoking over on the Facebook page for The Littlest Way, usually around the 6am hour.

As I mentioned in the newsletter I sent out to email subscribers over the weekend, expect some more Scripture Writing Plans–the actual plans, examples and video instructions on how I use them. I’m going to be adding an Essential Oil page, more Bible journaling, prayer journaling and planner goodness ahead.
Our Domestic Church…
The Feast of Pentecost always reminds me of how little attention I pay the Holy Spirit sometimes. I need to reread this book, In the School of the Holy Spirit and make a purposeful (my word for the year) effort to grow in closer friendship with the Spirit.
Saving Money…
Ibotta. I know I say it all the time, you may be tired of hearing about it, but it is the easiest way to save money short of not spending any money.
Captured…

Well done for praying for the young person who was so aggressive…Even though it is a challenge. That is surely living by the Gospel. I am sure your prayer will have a transforming effect on the young person concerned…I join my prayers with yours,
