Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::a safe trip to and from Benedictine College for V’s soccer ID camp
::her doing her part–I got here there, she took the responsibility of working hard and standing out from the crowd, making a good impression on the other girls and the coach
::going to see a Mexican entertainment show with Anna
::sharing dinner outside our church afterward
::Chris encouragement and belief in my blogging and L’BRI
::kids riding bikes on the gravel drive
::a new baby calf
Praying…
Um, visiting Benedictine College was a wake-up call into how expensive college can be! Lord we need to be able to stack academic and athletic scholarships and then we need the money to fill in the gaps. I’m praying for Bernadette because 19, on your own, far from home–even by choice, can look way different that you ever thought. I’m also praying for a church situation.
Pondering…
“Ideas are the most fragile things in the world, and if you do not write them down, they will be lost forever.”
― Phil Cooke, One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do
Listening to…
For most of our ride up to Benedictine College, I listened to One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do
The kids introduced me to this song, “Get Back Up Again,” from the movie Trolls.

Bible Journaling…
The new Illustrated Faith Bible Journaling kit is out! It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and creatively journaled. I will change that this week! Also, remember Dayspring is have a Customer Appreciation sale–25% off sitewide with the code THANKYOU
Around the House…
Anna kept laundry up for the 24 hours I was gone–that was a huge help! I need to clean windows and glass doors this week. It’s been a while. I also need to keep trying to declutter.
In the Kitchen…
Blech! I snacked all the way to Benedictine and home. And not Trim Healthy Mama snacks either. I feel bloated and icky. I need to meal plan–snacks included so I’ll feel better mentally and physically.
Self Care
My friends and family cannot believe I’m a dedicated morning and evening face washer. Y’all, that’s how much I love the way L’BRI is nourishing my skin. And again, the girls skin is so much better since they been using the products.
I started back to walking on the treadmill and doing some stretches from the Fitness Blenders videos on Youtube. Why is it so hard to form the habit when I feel so much better after I do it?!?
A Year Ago on The Littlest Way
The Daybook:30/2016 I especially liked and needed the reminder from the “Pondering” section.
Our Domestic Church…
The 26th is the Feast of St. Anne. Elizabeth Foss is a wealth of information on celebrating this feast day. And then Saturday the 29th is the Feast of St. Martha. I think a great way to spend the Feast of St. Martha would be a house clean and donate unused item day, followed by Adoration.
Saving Money…
Can I just tell you again, how much we love and use Ibotta? I mean seriously y’all, there is not an easier way to earn/save money on groceries in particular, but also clothing and restaurants. To date, we’ve earned a little over $200. And, when you sign up and redeem your first grocery receipt, you earn $10.
