Happy Sunday to you all! Welcome to my Daybook Online Journal. This is a weekly post where I keep an online journal of my day to day. They say the days are long but the years are short and my Daybook Online Journal helps me remember the little things that may seem insignificant in the day to day but end up being the things of importance in the long run. If you blog and want to leave a link to your own Daybook: Online Journal, leave it in the comments. If you don’t blog, list out your Daybook in the comments. I’d love to read them. I like the inside look into others lives.
Daybook: Online Journal
Thanking God for…
I’m keeping a running list–30 Days of Thanksgiving–click over there and you’ll see what I’m thankful for.
Praying for…
I am praying for The Littlest Way as a business platform. I am praying I allow the Lord to use me as He wants without me getting in His way or running ahead of Him. I am praying for opportunities to realize some BIG dreams Chris and I have for our family.
Pondering…
I’m pondering bottom feeders. Isn’t that what you call those fish that just stay on the bottom and live off what falls down there–the crumbs and waste. In my mind that’s what they are. Anyway, I’m pondering those people who are bottom feeder–content to live off others left overs.
Listening to…
Maximilian and Leo are playing ABC Mouse. Veronica is putting her soccer uniform in the washer, someone is doing something in the kitchen. Otherwise, I’m still on a Jamie Grace kick. I want my girls to learn to play Come to Me and Holding On on the piano.

In the Kitchen...
You know, or some of you know, I started eating the Trim Healthy Mama way because I was tired of afternoon crashes and bouncy blood sugar. I had Gestational Diabetes with my last pregnancy that went away but I have a family history of Diabetes, so I wanted to get in better health and eating habits. The side benefit is the weight loss. I’ve lost almost 25 pounds since January of this year. I’ve eaten off plan a little more recently (ahem–Chex Mix) but still maintained the weight loss and felt better over all. All that to say…This weekend, I fit into a skirt that was my “someday” skirt! Fitting into that skirt reminded me of how much I enjoy eating this way and encouraged me to stick on plan better.
Around the House…
I need to deep clean, swap winter/summer clothes, get myself on a good routine and stop giving into my lazy self.
Looking Ahead…
school, chores, blogging, homecoming, kids activities
Captured…Me on the phone with Chris for consult on how best to kill the snake.
Let me tell you a little story. I was sitting in my room and saw a snake on a piece of wood on the wood pile for our fireplace. I walked outside to take a look and the head looked suspicious so I told Luke to come help me kill it–actually to kill it by himself. After much deliberation, an escape attempt on the part of the snake and a snake hunt, moving one piece of wood very carefully at a time, we decide he’s going to shoot it with his pellet gun. Anna and I stand around the corner because we don’t want to see and after he shoots, he let’s out a kind of scream. We peek around the corner to see what’s the matter and there, where the snake had been, sits a bunny! Crazy!! There must have been a bunny living in the wood pile and the snake being shot and then falling down through the pile of wood must have startled it so it hopped up on top of the wood pile exactly where the snake had been. Like some type of weird magic trick or something.

I love the snake story! When my son was about 6 he caught a snake and brought it into the house to show me! I screamed and he dropped the snake! Needless to say I had to catch it and through it out, I will never let that little man forget about it either. 😉

I think I may have just moved and let the snake have the house Jennifer!

Snake Story – FUNNY!!!! I’ve been known to grab snakes with the L..O..N..G BBQ tongs and toss them over the deck into the ravine if none of the guys are home. I hesitate to just kill on site, because they are rather useful in keeping the rodent population at bay.
Remind me and I’ll tell you the EEEWW Gross What the Snake Ate story. It involves teenage Boy Scouts and a copperhead.

My father in love always preaches to me to leave the “good” snakes alone. No.Such.Things!

Congratulations on losing 25 pounds this year and fitting into your “someday” skirt! That is fantastic!! I haven’t gotten into Trim Healthy Mama just yet, but I will after I finish this other plan that I’m doing with a friend right now … I did about a week’s worth and look forward to going back and giving it more of an effort. I think I am drawn to the “S” meals a bit more than the “E” ones, so I have to figure out how to go back and forth, keeping the right amount of time in between …
Jenny says
“S” meals are easier to come up with naturally and seem more like the family meals we are used to. I typically make my “E” meals for breakfast or lunch.
