“Lord, let not our souls be busy inns that have no room for thee or thine,
But quiet homes of prayer and praise, where thou mayest find fit company,
Where the needful cares of life are wisely ordered and put away,
And wide, sweet spaces kept for thee; where holy thoughts pass up and down
And fervent longings watch and wait thy coming.”
— Julian of Norwich
I’ve taken some necessary time this week for some soul care. It has been very good. And today, I woke with a better sense of order mentally and spiritually. This renewed sense of order urged me to clean my bedroom…thoroughly. I created this lovely reading space next to my bed and after I finished cleaning, I enjoyed a little time spent reading in front of my open window, listening to my children play outside and the wind blow through the dead leaves.

It’s important to stay in touch with our souls so to speak. Life can get really chaotic and we lose track.
Lovely photo.
