Hi There and welcome to The Littlest Way. I am so happy you subscribed to receive the The Littlest Way in your email inbox. Just so you know, I will never spam you or sell your information. What I will do is offer you daily encouragement. And you’ll see what I mean as you read through the Advent Devotional for Women I created. First, if you’re new here, let me introduce myself–Meet Jenny.
This time of year can be hard financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. And when I say hard, for the most part our “hard” consists of first world problems–but problem still the same. I created this Advent Devotional for Women to call us into a closer friendship with God during this sometimes hectic season.
I want to encourage you to remember who you are in Christ–which is a passion of mine–as you prepare for His birth. I pray this devotional will bless you. I enjoyed writing it a couple of years ago and I very much enjoyed re-visiting it lately as I updated it. A funny story about updating it, on one day of the devotional I mention a 4G phone. When my Godson was editing the final copy, he pointed out to me a 4G phone is pretty standard now and not a sign of affluence. Times change quickly my friend…but Christ remains the same.
I mentioned a minute ago my passion for encouraging women to find their value and worth in Christ. It might sound funny to use the word “passion,” especially for those who know me in person; I don’t know that any of them would use the word “passionate” to describe me. If you were to give me any type of personality test, you’d see I’m an introvert/wanna be hermit–recluse…and God laughed by blessing me with seven children who love to go and be and do. But I have a heart for helping women who are struggling with their minds and hearts. I did. Still do occasionally. It was hard–really hard. It was scary–really scary. And I felt all alone. I suffered with thoughts, fears and anxieties that you just don’t go around talking about. And to this day certain things can give me a scare unless I quickly get my mind and heart in the right place. But you’ll learn all that the longer you hang around here at The Littlest Way.
Before I give you the Advent Devotional for Women, let me show around…
I posted for 31 Days on the Book of Sirach. I talked about Mean Girls, Ebola, Heart Attacks, and a good wife.
I write and will write frequently on Daily Affirmations. Here are a couple with accompanying printables.
Daily Affirmations for Self Esteem
I also buy more books than I can read. Ahem. I post a Book Club Time where I share my notes and reflections on the books I have read.
I’ve recently started the spiritual practice of Bible Journaling. There are as many types, ways and methods of Bible journaling as there are people. That’s partly why I write about it; I want to encourage you to make your Bible journaling, your own! I have shared with you the fact that I’m not an artist in my post, Bible Journaling Tips for the Hesitant. I’ve offered tips for what to do when you don’t have a journaling Bible. And I spent an entire month using a POWERful new acronym I created in my Bible journaling.
I’m also going to share recipes for big families here at The Littlest Way. I’ve got a big family, I cook for them and I’d like to save you the time and trouble searching through Google for recipes to feed a crowd; yeah, it’s a real search, I’ve done it.
And finally, I post a Daybook: Online Journal where I like to keep track of our everyday. If you like to see a glimpse into others lives, these posts are for you. And if you write your own, whether through a blog or pen and paper, I would love for you to share in the comments of those posts.
Thank you for being a part of The Littlest Way. I consider it a grace.
Instructions for printing: This is meant to be printed in “Booklet Format” which means four pages per sheet of paper. Of course you can print it larger, but when go have it bound the price will be more because it will be more printed pages. I designed it this size so it can easily accompany and even slip into you Bible.
