Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::a good dermatologist appt. (I go back in three months)
::a fun weekend
::a soup and chili kind of weekend
::Chris watching Veronica’s games while sitting in the tree stand
::bringing him a homemade cinnamon roll
::watching him teach the boys around here
Lord I’m praying for a clear heart to know God, find freedom, discover my purpose, and make a difference.

I legit cry or have to fight back the tears every single time one of you comments or sends me a message letting me know you pray for me. I feel so in awe and at the same time so unworthy of such thoughtfulness. I want you to know that I'm praying for you today. For the overwhelmed, the exhausted, the confused, the broken hearted, the grieving. Please know, if only for today, you are valuable and worthy. Not because of what you do or who you are but because you exist — made in the image and likeness of Love Himself… Genesis 1:26 1 John 4:16 I see you friend

Be saturated in prayer
2 Chronicles 33:12-13
Manasseh was the WORST! He completely and blatantly disobeyed God and God sent the Assyrian commanders to take him prisoner. BUT…he humbled himself and called out to God…and God listened.
Rest is good and necessary. It refreshes and restores and gives me energy to keep actively following and serving Jesus.
In the Kitchen…
The weather has turned cooler, thanks be to God! Except I don’t want cold weather God. Anyway, it’s soup weather! We had a yummy hamburger soup made with ground turkey on Saturday and then chili Sunday night. Yum! What are some of your favorite soup recipes?
I have faithfully exercised five days a week since June 1st. This is huge for me y’all! I can be so inconsistent with things like this…well, with most things. Committing to myself in this way has made a huge difference in all areas of my life. Across the board I feel stronger, more capable, and just better overall. If you’re not sure where to start, just start by stretching for 10 minutes everyday or do 10 pushups a day, just start!
When the weather changes like this at least one of my children gets a croupy cough; it was Leo this weekend. I started diffusing Raven and rolling a roller bottle of Raven and Fractionated Coconut oil down his spine and the soles of his feet.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

I’ve gained some valuable insight into my writing and blogging. Whew! Because I’ve been struggling with a vision and purpose here. I think these new insights will be evident in the posts here and on social media. Do you follow me on Facebook or Instagram? I usually “micro-blog” over there.

Friends, I hate to mention that I've been struggling, but I have. And your emails and messages tell me you have been too. So the good news is, we're not alone! But there's even better news! Five days a week since June 1, 2019 I have struggled every single night, alone, in my garage and on my driveway doing my workout. To be so cliche, #thestruggleisreal BUT, the struggle has been fruitful. Swipe to the last picture. That picture was taken one year ago. Sadly, things got worse from there. For arguments sake you might not see anything too wrong with that picture…or you may see every which way kind of wrong, this is more about interior transformation. One year ago my heart was sliced wide open when I lost my grandma–my person. One week later my heart was sliced again. Six months later my face was sliced to remove a Melanoma in Situ. Each of those events left me feeling I was weak, powerless, and disoriented. And then June 1st I started following a workout plan. It seemed at least I had some direction in one area of my life. And then I started doing things I didn't think I could do and I started feeling maybe the tiniest bit strong. And then I started to notice some muscle toning and definition and maybe I started to feel the tiniest bit powerful. And doing hard physical things gave me the motivation and courage to tackle some hard emotional and spiritual things and maybe I've started to feel the tiniest bit of clarity, direction, and purpose. Friends, in case you don't have anyone to tell you, allow me… YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS Yes, I totally meant to shout! You are so incredibly capable of tackling hard physical, emotional, and spiritual things! I BELIEVE IN YOU Let me know how I can encourage and pray specifically for you today and then in the words of St. Joan of Arc, "Go Bravely" my friends, I'm with you. But above all, Christ is with(in) you❤
