Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Ugh, a lot. Relationships are hard, people let us down…we let people down. We should regularly be examining our hearts and our conscience–praying to forgive and praying to be forgiven.

I've spent the last year growing healthier, stronger, and happier in my own skin and with my own self. I've thrown off the idea and mindset that I'm just here to do the best I can, grow old and die. See, I want to be energetic, magnetic, and full of joy for the Kingdom of God because no one is drawn to dead or half dead living and thinking and I want to draw others to the friendship of Jesus. I want all of our hearts, minds, and souls renewed! I don't want us living tired, dull, worn-out, just hoping we can cross the finish line in one piece lives, weighed down by this world and worldly thinking. ❤️Friends, I want us to rise above this temporary home like an eagle rises above a storm. (Side note about eagles: When a storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lifts it above the storm.) 🧡I want us to set our sights on the things of God. 💛I want us to be living and active for the Word of God. 💚I want us to live renewed and in the goodness of God. 💙I want us to live the abundant life Jesus came to give us. 🌈I want us to live confidently in the promises of God, not the lies of the world. 💡 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! +Psalm 103:5

Around the House…
Finally! After sixteen years I talked Chris into taking down the drop ceiling in the kitchen!! He says he loves it, I think he partly loves it and partly didn’t want to pay or do the work to take it down. It actually came down a lot easier than he thought it would. Now I need to fill some nail holes, paint the wall and ceiling, and then we’ll have someone come in and install new lighting. It already looks so much bigger and brighter!
In the Kitchen…
We made a delicious meal with leftover rice, beans, cheese mixed with cream cheese, and corn tortillas. It was an enchilada type dish made with homemade enchilada sauce, yummy! Tonight I made a chicken stir-fry with some frozen peppers and onions, some already sliced and shredded veggies, chicken, and rice.
I started a gentle five-day cleanse using Balance Complete from Young Living. The problem is I didn’t check to see if it had whey in it…it does. I think whey is what was bothering my stomach a few years ago. I did the cleanse for one day. I’m wondering if I can do it every other day? I know, not a cleanse in the truest sense, but maybe something is better than nothing?
Dr. Edie, the matriarch of our essential oil family will be hosting a class on the 27th, “Essential Oils from a Doctor’s Perspective.” If you’d like and invite to the free class, no pressure to buy anything just some great information about oils, email me for an invite.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

With some recent changes and shifts in focus I should have expected some opposition…I didn't. Opposition ALWAYS sucker punches me! Have you ever watched the process of of sorting an animal out of the herd? The animals are confused and trying to go in all and any direction; they have no idea what's going on. But the one who is intent on separating that animal away from the herd has a focused and specific plan even though it looks like confusion and turmoil. I went to bed last night thinking about how similar that scenario is when the enemy has his sights set on us. His purpose is to cause confusion, division, and turmoil so he can separate us out and away from each other; we're easier to conquer and devour alone. In people this looks like a storm of misunderstandings, hurt feelings, defiance, rebellion…and suddenly, he's disrupted families and separated friends. 💡 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12
