Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Today our Online Bible Study Community starts digging into the Book of Hebrews ❤️ When I started preparing this study I started looking at various commentaries. And as I started reading them, something didn’t feel right. I thought it was just because the Book of Hebrews seemed a little confusing because it references the Old Testament so much. Nope. Something was definitely off, but that wasn’t it. The Lord put the strong impression in my heart what the problem was, I wasn’t reading the book for myself. I thought it might be too hard initially so I was looking for someone else to understand it for me first. Now, there’s nothing wrong with seeking understanding from someone else…BUT only after seeking understanding from God. Only after sitting my own self down and investing my own time into reading the book. See, reading the Bible is a relationship and there are no short-cuts or substitutions to cultivating a healthy, strong, intimate relationship. It REQUIRES a personal commitment, a heart investment, time, and transparent conversation. ➡️(Not just talking about a relationship with God by the way.) Friends, we would LOVE to have you join us this month as we read, write, pray, and study the Book of Hebrews in our Online Bible Study Community. We would love to join in relationship with you, as we strive to grow in a more intimate relationship with Jesus. 🔗There’s a link in my profile to join us. If you’d rather just work through Hebrews on your own, it will be available for purchase in The Littlest Way shop later today.

I’ve been reading and re-reading Hebrews since it’s the book our Online Bible Study Community is reading, writing, praying, and studying this month. It is rich and deep!
Around the House…
Veronica’s roommate and family (YAY!!) are coming for a couple of days this week so we are getting the house and farm ready. We. ARE.SO.EXCITED to have them here on the farm as they roadtrip from New Orleans to California.
In the Kitchen…
I am so uninspired in the kitchen…ugh. Seriously cannot even describe how uninspired I am. So how do you get yourself back in the mood to cook meals for your family?
Every morning for the past couple of weeks I have been putting on a few different essential oils and applying some Scripture affirmations to them. (By the way, each day this month I’m sharing a different diffuser blend over on my Instagram stories.)
I’ve started doing some more research into the science behind essential oils…holy moly! God knew what He was doing when He created the plants to be used for our benefit! Dr. Edie, the matriarch of our oily family just taught a Zoom class this past week on getting rid of the toxins in our home. She is an incredible teacher, essential oils from a doctor’s perspective! If you’d like to watch the replay leave a comment or send an email and I’ll send you the link.
And I am still loving working out at the gym!! A couple of weeks ago I tried a class and loved it! So now I alternate lifting days with a pump class. I love the pump class so much I let them talk me into a Burpee challenge for the month of July. We will do 30 Burpees a day for the month and get a tee-shirt at the end. Um, when I said yes I did not do the math to realize that’s 930 Burpees! Eeek!! But so far so good.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

❤️You live and breathe the spirit of Jesus without ever quoting a chapter or a verse. 🧡You live a life of sacrifice so seamlessly many don't even notice. 💛You have taught me more about God as my loving Father than any person, book, sermon, or saint. 💚You have never deceived me, left me or made fun of me behind my back–to my face is a different story 😂 💙You accept my emotional, tender heart even though you're a practical, logical thinker. 💜You remind me to go slow knowing I'll jump heart first anyway and yet you're always there helping me piece my heart back together because of it. 💕Thank you for your quiet, strong, ordinary example of true fatherhood.
