Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I am praying for time, or a better use of my time. It just seems like I cannot…fill in the blank.
Pondering…
Still pondering and evaluating/reevaluating the importance I placed on unimportant things and trying to discern what is important in raising children in the Church, to be a light to the world. Where is the line drawn on certain issues like clothing and music? And what’s the heart issue behind those reasons?
Listening to…
Right now I hear the washing machine and dryer are doing their thing and the younger kids outside playing in the sprinkler doing their thing.
Reading…
My large print Bible
Bible Journaling…
I am beginning to miss my time Bible Journaling. Lately it has been very late when I even sit down to read My large print Bible and by that time I don’t feel like I getting my supplies out. I need to work on a scheule for me to get everything accomplished I need to and want to each day. But I’m a mom of 7 and a wife and my time is not really my own…
Around the House…
Let’s see, I head a great analogy the other day, I feel like I am brushing my teeth while eating oreos. It seems if one area is cleaned five more are not.
In the Kitchen…
I have created a one week meal plan for a “Fuel Cycle” following the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating. This is for those who have been on plan a while and need a little “shake up.” Here’s my printable meal plan–Fuel Cycle Menu
Our Domestic Church…
Not necessarily a Domestic Church entry, but in my homeschooling considerations, I think I am going to combine Luke and Bridget for Religion/Catechism this school year. They are 11 and 9 and I think not only will help my job as their religion teacher, I think it will also be beneficial to them as well. We use Seton primarily for school and their religion books are top notch! I always tell my children, they can never say, “I didn’t know” when it comes to their faith and the teachings of the Church after the religious education they get here at home.
Saving Money…
Well, our 31 year old air conditioner has been acting up the last couple of years. It blows fuses during the summer. We’re trying to baby it along and this weekend when Chris put a new fuse in, a few minutes later it started smoking! We shut every thing off until the air conditioner guy could come out yesterday. He said we’re very lucky Chris noticed what was happening so quickly or it could have very easily caught our house on fire! He replaced the fuse box and gave it some love and hopefully that will get us through the summer. Why all the babying? We are 8 payments away from having our home paid off!!! If the air conditioner could just make it through one more summer while we finish paying off the house, it would be appreciated.
Captured…
For Bernadette’s 17th birthday we got her Luke Bryan tickets. The concert was loud but fun and I enjoyed a date night with my oldest baby.

I am! We all are. God is so very good to each one of His children!

Opposing forces to loud music and me: Aging hormones, introvertedness, living in a large, noisy crowd all day already. Yesterday, my 16-yr old was playing something for the younger ones and I actually had to go into the garage and sit so as to not be a party pooper. And yes, also pondering that fine line you mentioned and the heart behind it. When two of your children tell you that you are paranoid, you take notice.
We need a fuel cycle too. We have way too many heavy S’s. Thanks for the printable.
Lastly, I cannot believe your a/c is that old! By golly it’s true, they really don’t make things like they used to. Praying for your “old girl” to last until that mtg. is paid! This might make you feel good about that mortgage. My husband is 58, and I’m going to be 48 in a couple of weeks. We are moving off of base into a home with a mortgage. We most likely will not live to see it paid off. Grateful and excited anyway.

Hi Michelle. I’m sure if we lived close to each other we’d be great friends who could just sit together and not worry if the other was offended for lack of conversation 😉

Ha ha, well there certainly is enough subject material! Perhaps you might even get a word in. 🙂
