Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
For some reason I always struggle interiorly this time of year–some years worse than others. If you could spare a prayer for me I would greatly appreciate it.
I am praying for our world–such big prayers for such big problems. I’m trying to do what I can do and not let myself be overwhelmed with the rest.
I’m praying for my children. We are on the cusp of major milestones in life as children age and grow. I especially pray for my daughter who is a senior this year. I pray she has a fruitful year and takes her time to enjoy life and her family. I pray she doesn’t rush headlong into adulthood just so she can leave childhood in the dust.
Pondering…
I do not even know where to begin.
Listening to…
Right now there is a cricket outside my window; it’s still at the “pleasant country sounds” verse the “stop that annoying noise!” I hear the air conditioning humming and a couple of children talking and laughing with each other. I’ve been listing to a new song I found of Luke Bryan’s, To the Moon and Back.

My large print Bible
Around the House…
I did so good y’all on laundry Monday through Wednesday last week. Like folded straight from the dryer great! Then who knows what happened. This weekend Bernadette folded it all while I was at a soccer game so I need to stay on track since she helped me out. In other news, I believe we have too much stuff. And yet other news, we are slowly getting back into a good school/chores routine.
In the Kitchen…
I am loving Build a Menu. It has helped me get back on track with my meal planning and my Trim Healthy Mama eating. I especially like the variety of breakfast recipes because at 7am I can very easily get stuck in a rut.
Our Domestic Church…
Tomorrow is Mary’s birthday so we need to have a cake. And, I’ll have to post some video of our Family School time when we’re doing our memory work. There is just nothing sweeter or more beautiful than to hear my children quote scripture.
Saving Money…
Well, as hesitant as I was to sign up for an online meal planning program, I absolutely believe Build a Menu is saving money; I’m making fewer trips to the store because I have a pretty sold plan in place.
Anna and I had to go to the eye doctor last week and for my new bifocals, I’m reusing my old frames to cut the cost. Yes, I did just type bifocals. Last year I tried their fancy “these don’t look like bifocals but they are” and I could never get used to them. So now I’m going to try the real deal y’all. If these don’t work, then I’ll take them back to get some reading glasses. Bifocals, really?!
Captured…

I love that quote so much. So much truth in it.
Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Thank you Lux…you too!

Memorization of God’s word is never a bad thing. 30 year after being in a Christian school where we memorized a lot of scripture, I was dealing with cancer treatment. Many nights when I couldn’t sleep, or in times of depression, verses I had memorized would come back to me. I’m now a 5 year survivor!
Jenny says
Yay Frances! Yay on being a survivor and yay on keeping God’s precious Word hidden in your heart!
