I’m doing a series called, Happy Planner Girl. In it, I’m reviewing various planners I’ve used, what I like, and what I wasn’t crazy about. So far I’ve reviewed the Illustrated Faith Planner and the Recollections Hourly Planner from Michaels. Even though I have more planners to share, I thought it was time to share the planner I carry with me now. I love this planner! I know I’ve said that about all the planners, but this one has stuck with me longer than any of the others. So today’s happy planner girl post is dedicated to my Carpe Diem Personal Planner, Black Blossom Set. From one happy planner girl to another, get ready for this beauty.
This Carpe Diem Personal Planner, Black Blossom Set just feels good in my hands. I know, maybe not the best way to start a happy planner girl review. You may want information on paper weight, size specs, and inserts. But the very first thing I noticed was how it felt–the size, shape, and even the soft, leather-like material used for the cover. But here are the official specs of the planner and then we’ll talk all the pretty, little details. The planner is 6 x 7.5 inches with 3 interior pockets, 2 side pockets, elastic pen loop and metal charm.
The boxed set includes the personal planner with gold rings and snap closure, 1 foiled decorative dashboard, 1 decorative dashboard, 12 Bloom Personal double-sided monthly tabbed dividers with gold foil accents (undated), 12 Bloom Personal double-sided monthly calendar inserts (undated), 72 Personal Bloom horizontal inserts (undated), and 3 Personal sticker sheets with 305 stickers total. Basically, everything and more a happy planner girl needs to set up their new planner.
Now for my personal experience with this personal beauty. I’ve already mentioned how good this planner feels right? I honestly believe this is the perfect size planner for me to carry in my purse; it’s not too big and bulky but it’s also not so small that I can’t write anything into it. The sturdy cover and snap closure make it even more purse or diaper bag friendly.
The little pockets in the front are nice to decorate if you’re a decorative planner type of person. But they are also the perfect size for a drivers license, bank card or cash. That makes this sweet little planner a great grab and go wallet.
The inserts are completely customizable. You can make this planner a monthly, weekly, daily or any combination of those or even all three. This personal planner can hold a lot. There are monthly tabs but you can also purchase blank tabs and lovely divider pockets. This planner would work well as a prayer journal too.
If you’re just dipping your toe into the world of all the pretty planners and accessories, might I suggest this pretty planner? This planner is perfectly lovely if you never added a single sticker or strip of washi to it. Let me also suggest this planner if you’ve done all the planner things, spent all the money, and all the time, and have burned yourself out on planners and planning. I think you’ll love this Carpe Diem planner.
As with the other two planners I’ve talked about already, if you’re looking for a goal setting, success tracking, mind mapping planner, as is, this is not the planner for you. Unless you create or purchase planner inserts for those specific needs. You can find all sorts of planner inserts on Etsy. And when you shop Etsy using Ebates, you can earn 1% cashback and every little bit helps. (New to Ebates? Sign up now and get $10.)
I love that this planner is feminine without being saccharine and sturdy without being industrial. It can handle being tossed in a bag and looks lovely spread out on a desk. It’s easy to carry in your hand without feeling like you’re carrying your calendar, know what I mean?
The best price I have found to purchase this sweet baby is through Blitsy. They also offer FREE shipping over $29.99 plus, and listen up my international friends, they also have payment options for you: Canadian, Australian, New Zealand dollar, the Euro and the British Pound.
