Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

Praying…
My confessor recommend praying an extra mystery of the rosary each day for a specified amount of time, so I am. I’m also praying for a dear friend as her family is in the process of making some important decisions. And I’m praying for all our Online Bible Study friends intentions. I love that our community takes its intercessor role seriously ♥
Listening to…
Catherine Kluempers on Spotify. I love her sound!
Reading…
The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.
Catholic Journaling Bible
This is my study Bible.
The two new books I ordered during Amazon Prime, Little Book of Holy Gratitude by Fr. Frederick Faber and The Eight Doors of the Kingdom: Meditations on the Beatitudes by one of my FAVORITE authors, Jacques Philippe.
Bible Journaling…
I recorded a video this weekend for our Online Bible Study community on how I practice the spiritual discipline of verse mapping. Sometimes I combine the two but for study, for really digging deep into a passage or book, I prefer verse mapping.
Around the House…
With Veronica on vacation and then leaving for school, we need to rework our chore schedule. It should be a fairly easy adjustment since she’s been so busy these last few months her duties have already been lightened.
Our back porch had four posts across it. Our house is 34 years old and has shifted and settled to the point that the middle two posts no longer offered any support, they didn’t make complete contact with the ground. I asked Chris to cut them off since they weren’t supporting anything. He did that Sunday and I LOVE it. It really opened the porch area up–such a slight change that made a big difference.
In the Kitchen…
Lots of crockpot meals! The temps here were over 100 a few days last week. We also had two meals that were made of big salads.

Self Care
With the exception of two treadmill walks and one weight day, I took this week off. I just couldn’t wrap my mind and heart around one more thing. Maybe not the best idea? But not the worst either. I’m coming for you Monday so look out!
There are a couple of sales I need to take advantage of this week. L’BRI has the Cleansing Trio on sale. Not only does Veronica need to take a Trio with her to school, Luke has started using it to wash his face.
I’d be happy to talk to you if you have any questions about using L’BRI. My teens have had great success using it for their acne and I know a few friends here started using it for their teens and love it. The girls and I have been using L’BRI for a year now faithfully and can’t even imagine using anything else.
(I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)

I’ll be opening enrollment for our August Online Bible Study later in the week. I can tell you, the friends who signed up last month have all loved it! And I purposely set out to deliver more than I promised to this lovely group of women. I promised a weekly Facebook Live video as we work through Philippians together, in addition to a Scripture Writing plan, a monthly worksheet, a set of lock screens, and two recorded video. But, I chose to pop on regularly through the week in our private Facebook group to offer more encouragement and instruction in Philippians.
Our Domestic Church…
I pre-ordered Kendra Tierney’s new book, The Catholic All Year Compendium: Liturgical Living for Real Life. She always has the best ideas for living the liturgical year in the home! Go read her latest post about the inspiration and writing of the book.
Saving Money…
Well, another summer babying our 34 year old air consitioner along. It went out Friday, when it was 105 and felt like 110. Chris replaced the part himself and saved a service call. And then it went out, so he replaced it again and so far so good.
Our local Aldis is being explanded so it’s closed right now, that hurts the ‘ol grocery budget!

I’ve been praying for everyone to stay safe in this heat. The over-cast days have been a blessing. Oh, I miss Aldi’s too! Can’t wait for it to re-open.
