Hi there and welcome to The Littlest Way! I’m so happy you’re here–said in my best Oklahoma drawl. I cannot wait to show you around. Without any false pride or prejudice, I love The Littlest Way and I know you will too. Pretty bold claim right?
First things first though, my mission statement here at The Littlest Way is, “To know God more through His Word. To share God more through my words. To encourage you to use your words all for the glory of God!”
And second things second, I recently decided on a life verse– a verse of Scripture that I keep in the front of my mind to filter all of my life through on a daily basis. Galatians 1:10 in The Passion Translation,
“I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would not be the true servant of the Messiah.”
Here’s the deal, the internet is noisy, I’m an extroverted introvert and I can only handle so much before I shut the laptop or my phone and say, “I’m out.”
The internet is also busy. Who even knows how many blogs, websites, and various forms of information there are on the world wide web?!? I don’t want to be more noise in an already deafening place and I don’t want to waste your time. I promise to provide you a quiet place, a lovely place, a place where a community can form around the good, true, and beautiful ways of living life big in the little moments.
The name of my site is taken from St. Therese the Little Flower who often spoke of her “little way” of loving and serving God, “Jesus does not demand great actions from us, but simply surrender and gratitude.” That’s the heart of The Littlest Way–living this grand life in the simple means of surrender and gratitude.

ONLINE BIBLE STUDY COMMUNITY
In 2018 I started an Online Bible Study Community. Goodness I love the Word of God! And I like talking about the Word of God. But I’m not always a fan of leaving my house after running kids to and from soccer practice, piano lessons, and going to the grocery store. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of leaving my house period some days. And the times I wanted to participate in a Bible study it seemed like schedules just wouldn’t cooperate.
So I formed an online Bible study and it is such a beautiful group of lovely women to love Jesus, the Word of God, and each other. We would love for you to join us! Each month we read, write, pray, and study the scriptures together in a private Facebook group and now a weekly live Zoom call.
BIBLE JOURNALING
I write about Bible Journaling. I write about my struggles to find a Journaling Bible and the fear of making a mistake. I wrote about tabbing my Bible at favorite verses because I can’t remember them when I need or want to. I talk about Bible Journaling because it’s fun and it’s spending time with God. I write about it to encourage you to do your own thing and quit worrying if people think we shouldn’t be creative in our Bibles or if our creativity is limited to stick figures or words scribbled in the margins? I even wrote about this topic, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration, and Permission.
PRAYER JOURNALING
I write about Prayer Journaling. I share with you the reason I have a prayer journal is because if I didn’t, I’d forget half if not all of what I wanted to pray for and about. Or my prayers would just wander around aimlessly. There is a time and place for just letting prayers form in the moment but there’s also a need for a consistent habit of prayer and my prayer journal helps me with that.
SCRIPTURE AFFIRMATIONS AND DAILY AFFIRMATIONS
I write about Daily and Scripture Affirmations. I went through an awful time a few years ago…and a few years before that and even a few years before that. It seems I’ve struggled with my mind for as long as I can remember. This struggle came to a crisis a few years ago and thanks be to God I was led to a wonderful Biblical counselor. I finally learned the tools I needed to face this, at times, debilitating battle. I started reading my Bible, memorizing scripture and using daily affirmations. I hesitantly will tell you I am healed. Hesitantly because anyone who has walked through this deep, dark valley will tell you, they never want to go back and have to stay on guard to remain healthy and happy.
BOOK NOTES
I also share notes from books I read. I read about parenting, prayer, and topics related to my vocation of being a child of God, wife, mother and encourager–that’s a word right?
So welcome! If you have any questions, concerns or complaints, please get in touch with me and let’s talk about them. And remember to sign up to receive The Littlest Way in your email inbox.
