Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::prayers of friends, in real life and across the internet
::weakening of Hurricane Irma

::watching Luke and Bridget play soccer with V and Anna sitting beside me talking all the soccer talk
::Leo snuggling me

Praying…
Lord, I feel like I have a prayer hangover. I have just prayed my girl through a hurricane with the help of so many of you.
Pondering…
I’m pondering the delicate balance between wifeing, mothering, homemaking, homeschooling, and pursuing my own creative pursuits. More than one thing always gives.
Listening to…
Bridget is in the kitchen getting Tylenol for her braces. The boys are all watching America Ninja Warrior and wrestling during commercials.

One is the new monthly Illustrated Faith kit, “Created to Create.” I like it, but the other! Oh be still my Advent loving heart! It’s an Advent Bible Journaling Kit and I cannot wait to start using it.
Around the House…
The usual. I like the usual.
In the Kitchen…
I’m carefully watching our grocery budget this month to see if I can keep it tight. I cannot seem to save any money and I think a leaky grocery budget is a big culprit.
A Great Blog Post
I have the silliest post going viral over on Facebook. All it is is a post asking what is one meal you hated and had to eat as a child that you haven’t eaten since. Apparently everyone’s mother made liver and onions!
The Littlest Way
I’m starting to think about what I will write for the 31 Days of October. In the past I’ve written about the Book of Sirach, and two differnt years about Bible Quotes. Any suggestions?
Our Domestic Church…
The kids and I had a pizza party the other day because we’ve–or at least they have, I haven’t tested myself, they memorized 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. Our next piece sof scripture we’ll memorize is Matthew 6:19-35.
Captured…
One day it was “Peaceful Motherhood”
And the next it was, “Sassy Like St. Teresa of Avila.”

Hi. You mentioned your Sirach study above, and it reminded how much I enjoyed that bible study group. Are you still working on Tobit or is that not happening?
Jenny says
Hi Lisa. Tobit is happening, just got delayed. I’d like to have it finished in the next few weeks and sent to Amazon.
