Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

I read this beautiful quote the other night in Thirsting For Prayer,
Another quote from Thirsting For Prayer,
Years ago I loved out (wore out) my Brian Flynn CD, Beyond the Veil. I just realized again this weekend how much I miss my CD and in my search, found he has a new one, at at least new to me–Born Again, that I previewed on iTunes. He has to be one of my favorite singers and I would love to have both of these CD’s. Here’s his family’s website, Mercy Song. You may recognize them from EWTN’s Divine Mercy Chaplet.

I’m re-reading Thirsting For Prayer for our FB group. This month we’re talking about prayer.
I made a quick video the other day sharing the new Advent Bible Journaling Kit from Illustrated Faith. It’s a fun one! I also shared different and maybe even unconventional ways I plan on using it.
So this is happening
Introducing the Yellow Card Jar and the Red Card Jar. Yes, we are a soccer family, why do you ask? An offense will earn you a trip to the yellow jar. Each slip of paper has a chore written on it; something like, sweep and mop the kitchen or haul a load of firewood. A more serious offense or two trips to the yellow jar in one day earn you a trip to the red jar. These chores are along the lines of: clean out the chicken coop, haul 3 loads of firewood or clean all the ceiling fans–7 in all, and if you can’t reach them, I guess you’re hauling a ladder in from the barn. Tell me your best correction tips when you’ve just gotten to that point that you need to shake things up a bit. #adayinthelife #momofboys #momofgirls #catholicmom #soccermom #momlife #drrayguarendi #EWTN #motherhood #peacefulparenting #peacfulmotherhood #parenting @ewtnmedia @livingbreadradio

Using Walmart Online Grocery Pickup and my Trim Healthy Mama cookbook, here’s our dinner plan for the week, minus Thanksgiving. (Click the image below for my referral link)

Sometime this week I’m going to start showcasing the L’BRI products we’ve been using. It’s no exaggeration to say these products have changed our life, especially my teen girls. Not spiritually of course, but, using products that aren’t harmful and have been so effective in clearing up their acne has done my momma heart good. The confidence they gained, not just in how they looked, but in taking a proactive role in their skin care, has been so good to see. That’s why my L’BRI business is named, “Inside Out,” I’ve seen the transformation from the inside out with them. If you’re interested in learning more, click the link to visit my site or email me and we’ll set up a phone call. If you’d like to order, visit my L”BRI site and use the show number #44838.

Our Domestic Church…
This Wednesday is the Feast of St, Cecilia, patroness of musicians. Here’s a link to some idea to celebrate this lovely feast day.
We’re toying with the idea of a cashback credit card. There are some that offer up to 5% back in some categories with no annual fee. We found one that offers 2% back–1% when you purchase and 1% when you pay the bill, again, no annual fee. But, we also know a credit card can be a huge source of temptation. So, discerning…what are your thoughts?
This one picture hold so many of the reasons why homeschooling is right for our family. The 9 year old is helping the 5 year old–still in his flannel pajama pants–do a 3rd grade math disc on the front room couch, while I sit at the dinning room table–in my yoga pants and tshirt–next to the 8th and 6th grader to make sure they don’t get distracted or argue, while my 10th grader is practicing piano in the next room, and my 12th grader is in her room–wrapped in an old quilt and snug in her life-size beanbag doing school. And when I say “right for our family” I mean right for our family right now because last week…I won’t tell you how many of the six kids I was ready to put on a big yellow bus. The bad days don’t mean all the days are bad and the good days don’t mean all the days are good. Grace is in the adjustments we make to temper the not so good with the really good. Grace is in the wisdom to know, just because they’re cozied up on the couch right now doesn’t mean they won’t be fighting like cats and dogs later because one of them broke a pretend rule in a pretend game of pretend. They might argue, cut corners in school, and waste a little too much time if I’m not right next to them…but they are the first to volunteer to help the littles and tired mommas at church and remember to list all the intention they’ve heard or seen each night at family prayer. So I breathe deep and remind myself of the words of St. Therese, “Nothing except for today.” #nowisnow #nowisgood #thismoment #holyordinary #momofboys #momofgirls #momofteens #homeschooling #homeschoolmom #catholicmom #soccermom #momlife #setonhomestudy #setonhomeschool #teachingtextbooks #everythingisgrace #homemaking #honestmotherhood #rockyourhappy #peacefulparenting #peacfulmotherhood #grace
