Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…

Listening to…
Years ago I loved out (wore out) my Brian Flynn CD, Beyond the Veil. I just realized again this weekend how much I miss my CD and in my search, found he has a new one, at at least new to me–Born Again, that I previewed on iTunes. He has to be one of my favorite singers and I would love to have both of these CD’s. Here’s his family’s website, Mercy Song. You may recognize them from EWTN’s Divine Mercy Chaplet.

I made a quick video the other day sharing the new Advent Bible Journaling Kit from Illustrated Faith. It’s a fun one! I also shared different and maybe even unconventional ways I plan on using it.

Self Care
Sometime this week I’m going to start showcasing the L’BRI products we’ve been using. It’s no exaggeration to say these products have changed our life, especially my teen girls. Not spiritually of course, but, using products that aren’t harmful and have been so effective in clearing up their acne has done my momma heart good. The confidence they gained, not just in how they looked, but in taking a proactive role in their skin care, has been so good to see. That’s why my L’BRI business is named, “Inside Out,” I’ve seen the transformation from the inside out with them. If you’re interested in learning more, click the link to visit my site or email me and we’ll set up a phone call. If you’d like to order, visit my L”BRI site and use the show number #44838.

Our Domestic Church…
This Wednesday is the Feast of St, Cecilia, patroness of musicians. Here’s a link to some idea to celebrate this lovely feast day.
Saving Money…
We’re toying with the idea of a cashback credit card. There are some that offer up to 5% back in some categories with no annual fee. We found one that offers 2% back–1% when you purchase and 1% when you pay the bill, again, no annual fee. But, we also know a credit card can be a huge source of temptation. So, discerning…what are your thoughts?

I have a credit card, something similar. I have a rule I use it for regular monthly expenses – groceries, bills, anything that I would buy anyway, then pay in full on time every time. I also use it for flighty things only if I have the money. For example I have a clothing budget every month that I don’t necessarily use out of every month so if I see cute shoes that are calling my name I can only use my credit card to buy it if I have enough money in my clothing budget or any other budget where I get tempted. I am overly strict with money and was raised to avoid debt. My sister also raised the same way was horrible with her first credit card.
Those cards are a huge blessing, seriously groceries for a month kind of blessing, but only if you treat it right. Keep praying. Just prayed for you.

Thanks Nikki. That’s how we would use it. We are fairly strict with money and debt too so the foundation is there, but the temptation could be strong. I appreciate your insight.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. We’re still debating. I like the explanation of how you use it 🙂

By far my most effective punishment was a 7:30 bedtime! My line was…. if your brain isn’t functioning to follow the rules it must need more rest…..my kids hated it!
Jenny says
Love it!
