Welcome to the Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
Goodness, God has impressed upon me the last couple of days how much so many people are suffering quietly, and hidden from sight. It’s overwhelming to think about where to begin praying. So, I’m glad I have my printable prayer journal. As I think of people or intentions, I write them down. Then, When I say my morning prayers I can include all the people and all the intentions in my morning offering. As time allows or the Spirit prompts, I can go back and spend some time praying for individual needs and people. I can also take my prayer journal to Adoration with me and place all the prayers before our Lord.
Only available for the next 24 hours to email subscribers of The Littlest Way, The Bible and Prayer Journal Printable Book is FREE. You’ll want to grab this now because this won’t happen again.

Pondering…
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
•Titus 2:11-14
Listening to…
Chris and the kids are watching football in the front room and the portable heater is running in here in the office. This old favorite popped up in my Youtube playlist and it goes perfect with my word for the year. I’ll be posting it tomorrow!
“Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light”

The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
I’m reading this Bible every morning for quantity. Meaning, I want to get the Word in me every single day this year.
The Catholic Journaling Bible
This Bible is for quality, meaning quality time. I’m using this Bible for Bible journaling, verse mapping, and Bible study so I can keep all my notes in one place.

Around the House…
I put away the Advent things yesterday. That felt good. The tree will stay up through the Epiphany and then it will come down. I love Advent and Christmas…that being said, nothing screams “Holy Clutter” like a 7 foot tree in your living room for 8 people to live and move around. Please, do not hate. (That reminds me, I’ll post sometime this week or next about what I learned in 2017 so stay tuned.)
In the Kitchen…
We are living off snacky food from New Year’s Eve today and I’m loving it! All kinds of dips and a Trim Healthy Mama Creamy Salsa Verde Chicken Soup, plus I’ll make Black Eye Pea dip soon. Chris insists we eat our serving of them every January 1st.
Self Care
I am still madly in love with my Fitbit! Granted, it’s riduculously cold outside and Chris and I haven’t been taking our evening walk in the field so I haven’t hit my 10,000 steps a day, but, I’ve intentionally moved–walked on the treadmill and or done a Fitness Blenders weight training video everyday. Right now I’m also all about the essential oil Balance from Edens Garden. I wear it and diffuse it. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, (Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial) Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)

Our Domestic Church…
Tomorrow is the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus:
“On the feast of the Holy Name we renew our resolution never to offend God by the abuse of His name, and we use Psalm 8, in praise of God’s name, for our prayers that night.”
Psalm 8
O LORD, our Lord,
how awesome is your name through all the earth!
I will sing of your majesty above the heavens
with the mouths of babes and infants.
You have established a bulwark against your foes,
to silence enemy and avenger.
When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and stars that you set in place—
What is man that you are mindful of him,
and a son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him little less than a god,
crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
put all things at his feet:
All sheep and oxen,
even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, the fish of the sea,
and whatever swims the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord,
how awesome is your name through all the earth!
The 6th is the Feast of the Epiphany and the 7th is the Feast of the Holy Family.
Saving Money…
Chris and I need to sit down and make out a solid budget…and then stick to it! This summer we are hauling our camper down to Galveston for a week on the beach. We looked into hotels, and rental and finally camping. Hauling our camper down will save us a little over $2K for the week. No brainer!
