Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::spending my birthday weekend in Florida visiting my oldest and taking one of my daughters as a surprise
::God’s vast creation
::His tiniest attention to detail
::being blessed by other’s gift of hospitality
::Grouper tacos–I ate them three times in Florida!
::hearing a local talent sing Chris’ and my song during dinner one night–Harvest Moon by Neil Young
Praying…
I have two very special intentions on my heart right now–one personal and one business related.
Pondering…
“Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose speech is corrupt. These people turn from right ways to walk down dark and evil paths. They rejoice in doing wrong, and they enjoy evil as it turns things upside down. What they do is crooked, and their ways are wrong.”
•Proverbs 2:12-15
Listening to…
A Little Longer – Jenn Johnson & Bethel Music
“…Then I hear You say
You don’t have to do a thing
Simply be with me and
Let those things go
They can wait another minute
Wait this moment
Is too sweet
Please stay here with me
And love on Me a little longer
‘Cause I’m in love with you
So I’ll wait here at Your feet
It’s where I want to be
Your voice I’ll follow
Jesus You are
Everything to me
And I’ll pour out my life
Worship at Your feet
Love on You a little longer
‘Cause I’m in love with You”

Bible Journaling…
I spent this past week getting ready for my birthday weekend in Florida so no Bible journaling this past week. Definitely this week! I’ve only used my new Catholic Journaling Bible once. I’ve waited too long for this Bible and cannot wait to spend as much time as possible in it!
Around the House…
I’m so thankful each one of my children and Chris of course, stepped in to keep things going so I could spend my birthday weekend with Bernadette.
In the Kitchen…
I need to grocery shop!
Self Care
The two full days I was in Florida I surpassed my 10,000 steps a day goal. Saturday I walked almost 15,000 steps and Sunday was almost 12,000. I need to keep that momentum going! Most of those steps were spent walking along the beach with Anna looking for shells and sand dollars. We also walked to and from the beach, about three blocks. It’s a little harder here right now because it’s cold. I was going to use some other excuse like my treadmill being broken, but I’m surrounded by beautiful pasture land, so, no excuses.
I traveled with a host of oils (read below for why I purchase through Edens Garden–always free shipping in the U.S.): Immunity and Fighting Five for my travel time. Harmony is my go-to for the daytime and Goodnight for night time or anytime I start to feel a little extra stress. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)

Our Domestic Church…
While visiting in Florida we drove to the nearest Fraternity of St. Peter Parish. Saturday the 6th was the Feast of the Epiphany and Sunday the Feast of the Holy Family. The homily was on the powerful significance of the Feast of the Epiphany and the sacramentals connected to it, mainly Epiphany water. The parish generously distributed lovely bottles of Epiphany water and blessed chalk. That evening Bernadette blessed her little apartment and marked the entrances with the blessed chalk. It was beautful.
Saving Money…
Chris and I still need to sit down and figure up a solid budget.

Grouper tacos in Florida! I was in St. Augustine about 2 years ago and I remember eating fresh fish there as often as I could. It was so delicious down there! My oldest brother took me down on the train for a two week trip for my 5oth birthday present. I’m so glad you were able to go and visit your oldest and that you were able to take one of your other kids with you. May God bless you and your family, Jenny. Thank you for everything that you do for TLW.

I never order fish tacos here in Oklahoma but the two times I’ve been in Florida that’s pretty much all I’ve eaten!

the songs made my morning! I have never heard Harvest Moon and I love it. I pray you and your husband dance often! A Little Longer words remind me of Eucharistic Adoration. Nuff said. God bless you Jenny!

I agree about the Eucharist Adoration♥
