Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

The Lost Art Of Roughhousing: Why Roughhousing Makes Kids Awesome This was such a great read!
Right now the washer and dryer are both doing their thing and Bridget is cleaning the kitchen. Musically I’m listening to The Champion by Carrie Underwood.
The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.
Catholic Journaling Bible
This is my study Bible.
During this Lent I plan on doing some Bible Journaling through the 7 Penitential Psalms using my Blessed is She Catholic Journaling Bible. But don’t worry, we’ll be doing it together. And there will also be examples of how to do it without a journaling Bible.
Around the House…
I’m slowly working my way through tossing and giving away. I have no idea how Kathryn Whitaker does it in 10 days!
In the Kitchen…
Veronica wanted Baked Potato Soup for her birthday dinner. Potatoes spike my blood sugar. My sister and her daughter came out and she made a delicious stir-fry. I LOVE stir-fry but cannot for the life of me make it! Like, who cannot make stir-fry y’all?
I have been consistently walking/running a little on the treadmill and lifting light weights for my arms a couple fo times a week for about 10 minutes. I have arm muscles. Let me repeat, I HAVE ARM MUSCLES. Now, maybe not enough to shout about or use caps, but to me, this is huge. Not the muscles, the consistent showing up to take care of myself almost every single day.
(You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)
Our Domestic Church…
Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day! And Wednesday is Ash Wednesday.

The source of the mortifications God asks of us is almost always to be found in our daily work. Mortifications right from the start of the day: getting up promptly at the time we have fixed for rising, overcoming laziness from the first moment; work finished down to the last detail; the discomfort of too much heat or cold; smile even though we are tired or do you not feel like smiling; sobriety in eating and drinking; order and care for our personal belongings and for the things we use; giving up our own opinion… If you really want to be a penitent soul–both penitent and cheerful–you must above all stuck to your daily periods of prayer, which should be fervent, generous, and not cut short. #sundayvibes #sundayafternoon #rest #lent #inconversationwithGod #francisfernandez #catholic #prayer #spiritual #spiritualreading #holyordinary
