Welcome to my Daybook Online Journal. This is a weekly post where I keep an online journal of my day to day. They say the days are long but the years are short and my Daybook Online Journal helps me remember the little things that may seem insignificant in the day to day but end up being the things of importance in the long run.

Praying for…
I am praying for the children and parents who only find their joy and worth in a game, be it soccer, football, baseball, etc. The parents who can’t keep it in perspective are the crazed fools on the sidelines and the kids are the poor sports on the field.
I’m praying for our teens; you could not pay me enough money to go back. They are assaulted with so many messages, many of them contradictory. Their own thoughts and words contradict each other at any given moment. I pray they find their anchor in their families but more importantly in Christ.
Pondering…
Would life be a good enough answer? How do we live a life in the world but not of the world? How do we live a joy filled life when there is so much suffering, internal and external? I’m full of the big questions aren’t are?
Listening to…
The two older girls are cleaning the kitchen and apparently you cannot clean without Spotify going. Leo is begging the older girls to give him some ice cream, the air conditioner is running–hello, Fall?

In the Kitchen…
I need to make a meal plan and then grocery list. Chris grilled burgers the other night and they hit the spot so I see them being added to the list.
I’ve been following the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan since January. I’ve lost almost 25 pounds and feel like I have kept my blood sugar stable. Basically I just feel good overall, like no afternoon crashes. The past week or so I’ve eaten a little off plan here or there and slowly I’ve started feeling not as good. So back on plan this week.
Around the house…
This last week was a pretty good school and chore week; the first since we’ve been so sick. This week’s upcoming hunting/camping schedule looks likely to disrupt any progress we’ve made. My plan is to try to remain flexible while trying to stick to a good solid schedule.
Looking Ahead…

Each day there is more encouragement and even some laughs over on my Facebook page. Head over and “Like” me there for more.

I love peeking through a window into your life :). Thanks for inviting me in. I also got so annoyed when parents took kid sports way more seriously than they were meant to be taken–grr!

Isn’t it fun to get a peek into others lives. To me it’s like when you drive through a neighborhood at night and you can see the front room because of the television glare. Or a garage sale where you get a glimpse into the home of another.
