How sad it would be to cut oneself off from God’s actions and bury oneself in the narrow, illusory world of one’s own projects.
-Fr. Jacques Philippe, Called to Life
Some of my angsty–agitated–unsettled feelings have been because I have focused on my projects first…and last, instead of focusing on God. Instead of pouncing on a poor, unsuspecting momma, I should have spent some time in adoration and spiritual direction. Lesson learned…hopefully.

It was a very poignant post yesterday. I kept thinking about how important those scripture times are. They are a balance and filter. I pounce on my poor mother every day. I keep saying, okay, today, I will not call her for anything.:/

Jenny, How true it is that we get caught up in our own projects, in our own little world, when God would rather give us the easy path…if we would only pay attention! A wise Sister once told me that when we take the “harder path” instead of the one God has planned for us in that moment, He uses our sacrifices in that path too. Having “pounced” many a time myself – on many different people, I think I understand how you feel in hindsight. Thankfully, God offers us the opportunity to offer those feelings to Him so we can move on somewhat more easily and quicker. Blessings on your day – and thanks again for such relevant and meaningful posts! God Bless!
