Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Bible in a Year: Your Daily Encounter with God
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.
Catholic Journaling Bible and the Inspire Catholic Bible NLT: The Bible for Coloring & Creative Journaling
These are my study and journaling Bibles.
I put a bunch of books on hold at the library because some of them were checked out and had a wait. Well, rather than drip slowly, they all came in at once. I have a two-foot-tall stack of library books to read!
Speaking of books, I am cleaning out and clearing my bookshelves. I have a ridiculous amount of books on the shelves and even if I read everyday, all day, I still wouldn’t get through them all this year. I need some visual margin and space so I’m boxing up most of them and putting them in the garage or attic. I’m only keeping out what I might, maybe, but probably won’t even get to this year.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!
Bible Reading…
Here are some recent notes I’ve taken in my reading in the YouVersion app. If you’re on it, friend me so we can share notes, Bible reading plans, and highlights!
Psalm 22:26
All who SEEK the Lord…
Philippians 3:12
I run with passion into His abundance!!
Matthew 22:37
With every passion and ALL the energy…
James 5:16
Tremendous power! Lord I want to pray passionately!!
Around the House…
I am kind of participating in Kathryn’s 10 Day Organized Simplicity Challenge. “Kind of” means I know my schedule for the next week or so and I cannot follow their cleaning schedule. For example, I don’t have to be anywhere on Wednesday so that’s the day I’m tackling the boys’ room because the Lord knows…I also started on Saturday because I knew my schedule but I was also super motivated to make some serious bookshelf changes immediately!
In the Kitchen…
Chris thinks our grocery budget might be out of control? I think it’s just stretchy. We need to come to a comfortable agreement yes? Also in the kitchen, Anna has started classes at the local community college so we need to make some daily chore adjustments with kitchen jobs. Our home is definitely feeling the upward shift in average age. Does anyone else do that? Have an idea of the average age of your home? I have always considered the average age of the house; this was a brand new concept for Chris when we talked about it last night.

Self Care
OK! I AM SO EXCITED!!! For the month of January one of Luke’s soccer teams is practicing at a facility that has a gym!! I’ve been thinking maybe I want a gym membership so I’m going to try the free two week trial and then may to drop in the rest of the month!! I seriously am so excited to get in there and get to work!!!
This morning during my God Time I diffused Rosemary and Bergamot together. Mmmmmm….Rosemary is great for alertness and mental clarity and Bergamot is a terrific, lovely smelling mood booster.
And in “Others Care” verses “Self Care” if you feel like you’re running on empty, not sleeping well, have no energy, and just feel an overall burnout, you need some Endoflex essential oil! We have a friend who burns the candle at both ends and he can tell when he needs to double down on some Endoflex…in addition to pay closer attention to his self care. Endoflex is also a fantastic oil for growing kiddos and teens. Shoot me a message and we’ll talk oils ♥
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
