Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

In My Diffuser…
Every morning this past week I started diffusing Christmas Spirit and Orange. Y’all I love Christmas Spirit so much that I’m giving away a bottle of it to every person who signs up to purchase a Premium Starter Kit with Young Living. I even used it this weekend to make a cherry, Christmas playdough recipe.
Wearing…
Ripped jeans, white tissue layering tee, gray “Ravens Benedictine College” tee, Muk Luks pink, polka dot slippers, and Stress Away + Orange.
Praying…
I am praying prayers I never thought I would be praying and it’s heartbreaking. I/We as a family are going through a season of hard right now.
Pondering…
“Murmuring is left for unprincipled and graceless slaves.”
Ouch! Preach! Amen!

The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.
Catholic Journaling Bible
This is my study Bible.
Re-reading Life Management for Busy Women: Living Out God’s Plan with Passion and Purpose. I’m actually doing a Happy Planner Girl series using this book and the various planners I love.
I just started reading Go Bravely: Becoming the Woman You Were Created to Be last night and Oh.My.Goodness! This book is so very good. There are definitely some parts more geared for a younger group, like college and young adult. But even still, all of it is so applicable to our lives.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!
Bible Journaling…
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? If you’re in the market for a Catholic Journaling Bible, I wrote a post comparing the two on the market right now.
Around the House…
Last week we started up the fireplace. Our fireplace is vented into the bedrooms through duct work in the attic. I have loved this feature of our house. Because of this, we only heat our home with the fireplace. For the other end of the house, in the office area, we use a small space heater when it gets super cold. But last year I just felt cold and tired of keeping the fireplace going. And I’m already feeling that this year. Think it’s age?
In the Kitchen…
Y’all. My pie maker and baker–homemade crust and all, cannot come home for Thanksgiving. I know…I mean it is for a great cause, her soccer team is going to Nationals and they practice all this week, but still. This means I will be buying all the pie shells. I know I could make them, I taught her, but I don’t want to make 6-8 pie crusts plus all the dinner stuff. Tell me what’s on your Thanksgiving menu. I haven’t figured out all the details with my sister and a family from church who will be here but I know my sister’s husband is smoking a turkey. I will make my great-grandma’s Cranberry Relish like I do every year. I mentioned all the pies. My brother-in-law’s birthday is on Thanksgiving and he wants a Mincemeat Pie???

Self Care
I cannot explain how happy I am learning about essential oils with Anna. The oils amaze me and her ability to soak up and retain all the education we’re receiving is incredible! I said recently we joined Young Living because we wanted to learn more about how to use essential oils. We are being taught all things oils from a doctor’s perspective under Dr. Edie Wadsworth. I love the harmony that can exist between the oils and conventional medicine. If you’d like some more information, click here and I’ll let you know when Dr. Edie offers more free Facebook classes. Don’t worry, clicking the link doesn’t sign you up for anything, it just lets me know to let you know when they are free Facebook classes available.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I sign up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
