Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::much needed rain
::a date night of Torchy’s Tacos, Adoration, and Hobby Lobby with Anna
::venison in the freezer
::Leo being asleep when the storm blew through the other night–wind bothers him
::starting our Advent Devotional
::focusing on the Virtue of Patience this Advent in our Online Bible Study Community
::a faithful online community who prays for and encourages each other
::a woman messaging me this morning about the incredible results she’s having with essential oils. Y’all, when a sweet woman tells you the oils she’s using are offering her support with a chronic breathing issue and helping alleviate the side effects of a powerful medication, well, you start the day in tears!
As usual, my St. Andrew Novena is long and specific, just the way I like it, haha!
“You were designed by God for greatness. You are here for a specific purpose.”

Happy Planner Girl…
Remember my recent post about using a Dayspring Planner? Well, they are all on sale today only! Friends, these are lovely planners. I’ve been using mine as a prayer planner lately. They are 50% off today. And check out their pocket inserts and sticky notes inserts.
Around the House…
After a week of Chris and the kids in and out from hunting and camping, my laundry room looks like it exploded! My main goal today is to get it all washed and dried. I’ll worry about folding it later…famous last words!
The tree is up and strung with white lights! We put our tree up the First Sunday of Advent and decorate it the Third Sunday of Advent…unless we decide to decorate it as soon as Veronica gets home from college!
In the Kitchen…
Tonight we’re having spaghetti. And then I need a few staples from the grocery store to figure out the rest of the week. Any Trim Healthy Mamas out there? I need some breakfast and lunch ideas. I used to have a shake every morning, but they may be hurting my side. I LOVE the convenience of just throwing something in the blender and drinking it while I read my Bible. Help me out!
Dr. Edie Wadsworth is teaching her last Facebook essential oils class of the year tomorrow, December 4, 2018, at NOON Eastern Time. It’s titled, “If Mama Ain’t Happy—4 Sure-Fire Ways to Reduce Your Stress, Boost Your Mood in 30 Days so you can actually Enjoy this Season!” Click here to get your cheatsheet and register for the class. Her essential oil classes are always so much fun and packed with tons of information.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
The Littlest Way
I’m going to have a survey soon for you to fill out letting me know what you like and don’t like–be kind, and what you’d like to see more of.
Our Domestic Church…
I sent a group text out yesterday to my sister, daughters, and nieces.
December 2–First Sunday of Advent
December 6–Feast of St. Nicholas
December 8–HOLY DAY of OBLIGATION, Immaculate Conception
December 12–Our Lady of Guadalupe
December 13–Feast of St. Lucy
Checking out books from the library…in theory. But then you add in the late charges and I’m not so sure?

I had this hilarious set of spiritual direction texts that flew back and forth between my spiritual father and me. I was asking all the questions about buying and using essential oils. Even oil blends with names that made me pause and descriptions that just flat out stopped me. . . . . “But what about oil descriptions that say they attract money or are called ‘Humility’?” . . . . “I wish humility or having money were as easy as diffusing some essential oil… But if it works, let me know.” . . . He is the absolute best at dealing with me 😂 . . . Here’s the thing, there are so many cracks in the door the enemy is just waiting to slip through. Being in the state of grace and actively guarding the soul against the prowling enemy are key, crucial, and a non-negotiable. . . . All that say, if the Baby King and His Blessed Mother were gifted Frankincense, I’ll take that as an ok to use it as God intended as well.
