Welcome to my weekly Daybook post here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
::I am praying for our nation. It’s easy for me to feel we’re too far gone. I know we’re not, but it’s easy to feel that way. I’m glad I’m started taking Sunday’s to unplug from the noise. It gives me time to get away from the negative noise of the world.
::I’m praying for my children. There are so many times I tell my older children how sad I am for the younger ones. The world is changing so quickly that I can look at my older ones verse my younger ones and lament, “The younger ones won’t ever know a world where this or that wasn’t the norm.”
::I praying for us as women–the world desperately needs our touch, our prayers, our beauty.
Listening to…
Veronica is in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies and the the boys are begging for “just one chocolate chip.” And this song…always this song, That’s Important to Me.
I have not been reading much the last year. I’ve realized I’ve been starving myself of of good words and ideas. I recently bought two books and checked out a couple more from the library.
In This House, We Will Giggle: Making Virtues, Love, and Laughter a Daily Part of Your Family Life
Use Your Words: A Writing Guide for Mothers
Own Your Life: Living with Deep Intention, Bold Faith, and Generous Love
Living Forward: A Proven Plan to Stop Drifting and Get the Life You Want
I told you I’ve been starving myself lately.
Bible Journaling…
I’ve been doing more Verse Mapping than Bible journaling. Same time with God, just a different season.
Around the House…
Ugh…
In the Kitchen…
Oh my goodness I’m trying…
Our Domestic Church…
Did I mention last week we’ve been going to Adoration one hour a week? If I did or didn’t, let me tell, I so look forward to this time. I am in a spiritually dry season–I think it’s just the circumstances of life right now. But this is something I do look forward to. I check our calendar for the week and then schedule it. I then try my hardest to guard it. If something absolutely comes up, I move our Adoration time to somewhere else in that same week, I do not put it off until the next week.
Saving Money…
I heard Rachel Cruz say the other day–she’s Dave Ramsey’s daughter–that with a budget, you will save on average $1200 a year. Woo-hoo! That’s a savings y’all! We are trying hard to stick to our budget again. I know I mentioned I’ve been using Every Dollar, I still love it!
Captured…
I was going through some old pictures on my computer and came across this one. This is one of my favorite pictures. I took this of Maximilian at little ice cream/burger hut in my grandparents hometown in 2010.

Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to see how you are using your Travelers Notebook. I have one and love it, but know I could use it for so much more.

I would love to see pictures!

Mine is pretty boring. Just monthly calendar pages and some ruled paper. I use the monthly pages to track the daily readings and then blank pages to right notes, reminders, ideas. There is no real layout. I am just getting started.

I don’t know how to add a picture, or I would.

Ive been feeling that dry spell myself and I just don’t understand it.
I’ve been thinking of doing the Adoration Chapel at least for the next month while I’m still off from work maybe that will help. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh gosh I hear ya girl. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time in Adoration. I’ve realized, it’s ok, this spiritual dryness, as long as I keep making myself available to hear Him.
